In January of 2004, Carla Martell and I started a wedding decorating business. We wanted to be able to offer something that set us apart from the industry. We decided to target church cultural hall weddings so that we could offer affordable, yet BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE weddings. We had an engineer mind design our one of a kind tented ceiling which assists in completely disguising a church cultural hall, ceiling, walls, even the floors! Complete with our unique attention to detail and design, we can create the wedding you’ve always dreamed of.

Provo Courthouse Buckley Wedding

October 31, 2009 at 6:45 pm (Uncategorized)

We spared no expense making this elegant wedding full of large arrangements, pictures and personalized details. We were going for a movie star wedding and I think that was achieved. Once again we used fabric draping to soften the robust columns and gold buttresses. We filled the vast space by stacking food tables and creating tall arrangements. Notice the Couple’s Initials that appear everywhere, as well as special touches like their first email correspondance, their parents and grandparent’s wedding photos, gifts from their kids for the guests to take home. This shows that not only can we decorate beautifully, but we can help you create those fine details that make your wedding stand out from all the others.

Vintage Wedding

August 11, 2009 at 3:30 am (Uncategorized)

The trend is shifting from the bright, cutesy, fun wedding to the elegant, classic, vintage style wedding.

This bride went all out by displaying her mother’s and grandmother’s wedding dresses and decorating with vintage iron and lace gloves. We created a lamp lit display down the hallway to provide comfortable and entertaining space for her long line as well as a vintage ambience to get everyone in the right mood.

Here’s an example of keeping the food simple to save on cost, yet displaying it in a way that enhances what little you’re serving. We had four fancy cheesecakes made to display and then sliced cheesecake on plates for guests to select their own toppings.

Ivory, Purple and a Hint of Black

July 3, 2009 at 5:20 pm (Uncategorized)

This season Purple and Black are the hot colors! Notice the Food Banquet Tables located in the middle of the tented ceiling. The large arrangement in the center brings the eye up and gives a fantastic focal point.

Deep Purple and Black

July 3, 2009 at 5:07 pm (Uncategorized)

Beware that deep purples and eggplant can be a tricky color to capture in photography without looking indigo. This is an example…but I’m a decorator not a photographer! If you are doing these colors, talk to your photographer about wanting the exact shade represented in your photos. Notice how rich these deep colors make the tented ceiling appear.

Baby Pink and Turquoise

July 3, 2009 at 4:42 pm (Uncategorized)

These pictures don’t do this gorgeous wedding justice! We had to turn on the overhead lights because my flash on my camera wasn’t working and it just ruined the ambience. But at least you can see the unique color choice and design ideas.

Provo Courthouse Custom Draping

May 4, 2009 at 3:38 am (Uncategorized)

Just about the only thing that can soften and reduce the echo in an all marble corrider would be some kind of elegant drapery. We wanted to create a faux ceiling for a more intimate setting, but at the same time, not distracting the eye from the grandeur of romanesque marble column and shiny gold buttresses. I think we accomplished something spectacular with the dynamic angles of the fabric we hung. This can be done in any two story room with an open balcony AND nothing is nailed, taped or tied to the building structure itself.

Ivory, Black and a touch of Lime Green with Poka-Dots

March 5, 2009 at 4:55 pm (Uncategorized)

This is a perfect example of creating elegance with a splash of fun. Nothing says “classy” more than Ivory and Black. Notice the way we alternated the tablecloths on the banquet tables to collaborate with the fun feel of the lime green runners with poka-dots.
